TCP/IP network door access control system is based on TCP/IP communication protocol, which uses network optical cable to transfer data of door control information. It has a built-in internet communication port on its main board and could be connected with router or hub directly throught network cable.
By TCP/IP network, the door access control system could manage doors in a same LAN, or a large WAN, or on internet. In reality, each access control main board could be assigned an IP address so the software could visit and manage it individually, for example, it could be assigned 192.168.1.1 (LAN) or 192.16.0.1(WAN, different from the previous IP network). For internet control, Global Keyaccess adopt DDNS(Dynamic Domain Name Service) technology for convenient and efficient online control, by DDNS combined technology, the operator could control the system worldwidely with ease and it is much better than old day’s telephone line control method.
The main difference between TCP/IP and RS485 access control system has two factors, first is the transmission speed, TCP/IP is much faster than RS485(TCP/IP is 10M/100M Bytes while RS485 is 9600Baud, 1Baud=1 bit per second), second is the capacity of the whole system, the size for RS485 and LAN is 255, the size for WAN or Internet use is unlimited.
Note: Dynamic DNS is a system which allows the domain name data held in a name server to be updated in real time. The most common use for this is in allowing an Internet domain name to be assigned to a computer with a varying (dynamic) IP address. This makes it possible for other sites on the Internet to establish connections to the machine without needing to track the IP address themselves. A common use is for running server software on a computer that has a dynamic IP address, as is the case with many consumer Internet service providers.

A: RFID reader, keypad RFID reader, Fingerprint reader, long range UHF RFID reader, all of these readers must be Wiegand26(or 34) output.
Q: What kind of cards is your system supporting?
A: 125KHz card, EM card, or Mifare 1 card, or EPC G2 card.
Q: Does your reader read HID card?
A: Our default reader doesn't read HID card, however, we could provide HID 125KHz compatible reader, but no HID Mifare compatible reader. please check with us when you order.
Q: What is the shape of your cards?
A: Standard card is credit card size(85.6×53.98×1.8/1.0/0.8mm), we also can provide keyfob(with built-in chip).
Q: What is first card in? does your system have this function?
A: In some cases, the door should be opened by an appointed person first, then the rest of people could open the door afterwards.
Yes, we have this function.
Q: What is multiple cards in? does your system have this function?
A: In some cases, the door could only be opened by several people simulteneously, such as bank, or other important offices.
Yes, we have this function.
Q: What is door's interlock? does your system have this function?
A: This function can only be set up on one control panel, the doors controlled by this controller can not be all opened at the same time, which means only one door can be opened at one time, if any one door is opened, the rest of the doors can not be opened.
Yes, we have this function.
Q: Does your system support photo display of card holder when people show the card?
A: Yes, we could add photo when editting the personal information and display the photo in monitoring screen when people show the card.
Q: Could your system take a photo of the people when (s)he show the card?
A: Yes, we provide camera adaptor which could be linked to a particular door, when the people show the card on this door, the camera will take a photo and save in database, which you can check later at any time.
Q: Is there a door open alarm or indication on the Software?
A: Yes, this could be shown in real time monitoring screen. Note the system needs adding door sensor on control panel.
Q: Can we install the main software on the Server and then install same software on the user P.C. (Client-Server)?
A: Yes, the software can be installed in any PC in network, by sharing the database, all managers can check the software(if they have the user name & password) from any PC.
Q: Does your system have Fire-Alarm System and force-open in emergency?
A: Yes, we will provide an extended board for this function, the controller can open all the doors(on itself) when receiving fire alarm(this must be programmed in software).
Q: Does the door controller have a 10/100 rj45 ethernet connection that can use dhcp?
A: Yes, if you setup the router with DDNS, the controller can be connected to internet, when you input the DDN over internet, it will link to the particular router which connects with the controllers so you can check the whole doors system. To monitor the controllers from internet, your computer must be installed system software and each controller must be assigned a dynamic domain name.
